One day, they met up with a threesome with another woman, a young Danish girl named Omi, and tied a rope, to spark their excitement in their love life. But later, he had sex with Electra behind his back, which caused Omi to get pregnant. This unplanned pregnancy ended Murphy and Electra’s relationship on a secret note forcing Murphy to marry Omi. One morning, Electra’s mother, Nora, called him to ask if he had heard of Electra, since he hadn’t heard from her for three months, and to give her daughter some suicidal tendencies. For the rest of that day, he recalls his last two years with Electra in a series of piecemeal non-linear flashbacks; how they met the first two years in Paris, their fast connection and their life full of drug addiction, rough sex and tender moments.
