The only contact the detective receives is the business card of the young director Paul Harts. Answering detective questions, we arrive at the Hollywood Cemetery forever six months earlier when he meets the Lady in Black and persuades her to reveal her secret to the camera. The story of the old lady takes us even further, to 1926, when she was a young nurse in New York and met Rudolf Valentino on his deathbed in a hospital.
