Microsoft DirectX Free Multimedia APIs is a free collection of APIs for programming graphics and audio. This makes it easier for developers, especially game developers, to create games with all the features that work in Windows. Most people don’t even notice that DirectX works – it only works when it’s needed, without notifying you. Interaction with it is also a bit more complicated and requires programming tools for audio and graphics management (function () {(‘review-app-page-desktop’);}); DirectX is a technical tool that helps game developers interact with sound and graphics cards. Although it can be installed on any computer, most users never need it. It launches when you play a game with DirectX, and that’s it.
